Israel - Hamas War October 2023

The sovereign wealth fund will probably already hold:

  • 50% plus 1 share of TikTok
  • 50% minus 1 share of DJT media
  • Significant holdings of Trump-branded real estate
  • A significant amount of $TRUMP crypto
  • A significant amount of $MELANIA crypto
  • A significant amount of Dogecoins

…before it gets around to buying up Gaza beachfront.

I get your point, but there’s no income in the fund to bail out any of those items. Trump can get Gaza for the price of ethnic cleansing, probably also with a chunk going to Trump holding companies.

I hope you’re right with the Dogecoin. I bought some a few years back for next to nothing. If it ends up at BitCoin levels I’ll be able to retire comfortably.

I can’t “like” that. But thanks for posting.

One of the many that are probably regretting their support:

The chairman of a group that lobbied Arab and Muslim Americans to vote for Donald Trump in the recent election came out strongly on Sunday against the US president’s call for Jordan and Egypt to take in Palestinians from war-torn Gaza.

And this was before today’s comments.

World people will live in Gaza once the natives are removed

This is breathtaking even by Trump’s standards.

My mind keeps going back to this comment made by a 19th Century politician (has been para-phrased many times over the years)

The concern now is not just about Gaza or the ME.

We are watching the rise of a demagogue with near absolute power in real time. Every dysfunctional thought he has will be fair game to him.

Bibi also isn’t stupid. By destroying the Gaza infrastructure in the way he did, he knew perfectly well that there would be a long period of time in the event of a truce that Gaza would be virtually uninhabitable. That interval could then be exploited to push out all the people from Gaza (ethnic cleansing). I suspect that one of their war plans was exactly this scenario.

So now he is puffing up the new American demagogue to follow through on that. Think about the chaos and instability this would create in the ME. The US would become a complete pariah, and any soft power they had in the region would evaporate.

Since when has that stopped the federal government from spending money?

Issue debt and use the proceeds to enrich our Dear Leader and his puppet master.

It strikes me that Gaza might legitimately be the plan for stateless people for whom the US has no official plan except detention for life. Dispose of the Gazans and deport/install stateless people without a criminal history.

Though it’s been my low-key assumption that some stateless people are just being sent to Guatemala or whatever to get lost and maltreated via their bureaucracy.

I thought that’s why we were opening Gitmo

Well, this surprises no one…

Officially Gitmo is only for “the worst criminals that we don’t trust them not to send back” and temporary holding before deportation.

It’s a near-certainty that non-criminals will be held there indefinitely, though.

I think that’s the plan for Guantanamo, possibly supplemented by paying other countries to imprison those as needed.

This is a beach real estate development once locals are eradicated.

Trump is old enough, like me, to remember when Beirut was called the Paris of the Middle East and the Lebanese coastline was likened to the French Riviera. That was before 1975. Maybe that is the vision he has for Gaza? Won’t happen, of course, but that is how his developer’s mind works.

Yeah, i hear that the real estate in Gaza is legitimately really nice. I believe that trump envisions beautiful profitable resorts operating there, without those pesky Gazans in the way

Make them casinos, and he will go belly-up.

Any mention of the U.S. paying for the land they’re talking about taking?
