The Supreme Court is hearing the tariffs case on Nov 5. Interesting to know how this will affect inflation.

Food inflation must be bad in the US if Hamburger Helper is popular again?
In my bachelor days in the early 1970s, I would prepare Hamburger Helper about once a week. That stopped forever when my then future wife educated me on its nutritional quality after I served it to her. Sad that it is popular again given its contents.
Going to be interesting to see what happens when the SC hears the tariff case.
I suspect they will say Congress acts as a check bit without Congress doing its job its probably grounds to find a chunk of the tariffs illegal (the Brazil ones for example definitely are).

Itâs almost as if right now is a bad time to arbitrarily cancel wind farms that are 80% complete.

Yep. I saw a bit on the local news about a small city close to me getting a data center. The mayor was happy due to âjobsâ.
I had to think she might have had a different take if she had considered âelectricityâ.
This figure amuses me as Newfoundland residents complain about our âastronomicalâ electricity prices, current $0.15213/kWh Canadian.

My nutty classmate living in Wyoming is currently upset about a proposed windfarm near her. Itâs amusing/infuriating watching her contortions around being pro-private property rights and against property owners doing what they want to do with their property.

I am happy to have wind farms in the middle of the plains where I donât have to see them as I prefer to more nature and less evidence of humans around me. #windmill NIMBYism.
I posted, I think in random political thoughts, an area that seemed to be losing their minds over a solar panel farm. That seems like it should be way below anyoneâs threshold for caring about what an open field looks like.
My understanding is that a fair number of jobs are created in the construction of a data centre but very few ongoing jobs. But a huge amount of water and electricity are needed in their operation.
