Back to the original topic of the Iranian protests, Amnesty International has released a report naming 87 Iranian officials that should receive criminal investigation for crimes against humanity. Took them a while, but let’s not pretend the Iranians are good guys in all of this.

The conflict in the ME is now probably going to spread:

Its starting. Fuel shortages will now spread over Europe.
But the real problem is gas. Qatar was a huge European supplier, and Europe has not been able to fill its tanks for the winter (they are far below normal as of September)
Prices are going to get very high this winter (UK will also be affected). Inflation is going to hit 4% around Jan 2027.
No one wants to top off their inventory at record prices, so may not be an availability issue.
However…there area lot of issues compounding. The SPR is near the operational bottom, private inventories are low, prices are high, and situation around Iran is getting worse.
What a giant fck-up this has been.
