Thanks. They are about double that at our nearest store but it is a “Whole Foods” type store where everything is more than Costco. However it is only a block from our house so we pay for convenience. And we only have a burger maybe once a month.
Apologies for taking the thread off topic:
UHG is being asked by its investors to prepare a report on its “practices that limit or delay access to healthcare.”

Good for those investors. I hope it was something they were considering before the murder. I hope they ask their actuaries to weigh in.
From earlier:
Just never had one and thought “that was a good beef burger”
Also, I can’t imagine a more inconvenient way to cook either than using a foreman grill. Another thing I tried once or twice and decided it was a pain in the ass to clean. Maybe they are better made now than they were 20 years ago and the dirty parts come off and go in the DW…but my pans can also go in the DW and are easier to access.
Prior to the murder, I’m pretty sure denying claims was a net positive in the eyes of investors. Wall Street DNGAF.
What is q1 of the CEO as a function of claim denials?
There are about 847,000 varieties of George Foreman grills. You definitely want one with removable grill plates. Throw them in the dishwasher. Easy peasy. Maybe 5% of the time that’s insufficient and they require additional cleaning when they come out of the dishwasher. No harder than washing any other pan by hand though.
I don’t even understand how you clean the ones where the grill plates are fixed in place and I’m glad that’s not the kind I bought.
I got mine in 2006 so the removable plates have been a thing for a while.
We would just plug them in and pour water on the George Forman grills and just give them a steam bath
I use the gas grill that’s right outside my kitchen.
That checks out. From Wiki:
“In 2006, the George Foreman “Next Grilleration” Health Grill was launched, featuring detachable grilling plates for easier cleaning.”
…
“In 2014, an updated Foreman Grill was released called the “Evolve Grill”. The Evolve grill features interchangeable PTFE-free ceramic plates.[8] The plates available are the traditional grill plates, waffle plates, a bake dish, mini burgers, a flat griddle, and a muffin pan.[”
WHAT, YOU HAVENT UPGRADED!?!?
Apparently they now have a “fully submersible” George Foreman grill. Why is that desirable?
well, in case you want to use it in the bathtub…maybe.
Waterbed, set up some bacon the night before?
Huh, I didn’t know they were brand new that year.
Oh wow I would have killed for a submersible in college. Just throw the whole thing in the sink and go to town
The amount of innovation in the kitchen countertop cooking appliance space has been pretty incredible. Foreman grill, instant pot, rice cooker, and air fryer all get regular play in my home. If the Impulse induction cooktop is as good as it looks, for $6K, I will get one and I’ll never go out to eat again in my life.
We do rice in the instant pot. Saves on space. Have an air-fryer attachment for it, but it’s too small to really be useful.
I got my rice cooker long before I got my Instant Pot, so I haven’t tried this. But also when I make butter chicken I do it in the instant pot and serve over rice that I make at the same time in the rice cooker, so it’s nice to have both.
6k is quite a bit. You could get a counter top induction stove to try out before committing. I did that and was impressed.
