The point I think he was trying to make is that the Republicans have successfully framed the issue as you are either a) in favor of removing criminal immigrants and thus support ICE, or b) opposed to removing criminal immigrants. The real messaging skill that they have developed / mastered over the past 30 years is reducing everything to false dichotomies.

Minor nitpick: Memphis is not in a blue state.
Of course, Memphis has the special case of being in a red state that hates the blue city, and the state-in-general is willing to tolerate Gestapo tactics to fix what they view as a nasty place, and the state government is therefore collaborating with the feds to achieve that goal.

The 5 year old and his father from yesterday’s photo were also already in the asylum process and should never have been detained.

A big chunk of those deported so far includes people in the asylum process and trying to follow the rules.

The US attorney’s office for MN is apparently a hot mess and lacking in competence. When a judge is turning down a US attorney for a warrant and no one will agree to be the assistant, maybe it’s a sign the person is in over his head.
DOJ tried to get a warrant after the fact on Good after they shot her.

I want to see Minneapolis PD arrest some of them, but that’s what drumpf wants as an excuse to create a war and cancel elections.
