At first people would celebrate with 2 pies, but eventually the original tradition will be forgotten, and everyone will have to eat towels.

What math formula do you use for the area of a circle? 2pi * r^2*0.5?
Yep.
The original derivation of area of a circle was by Archimedes. He proved you can take a circle and unroll it into a triangle. Like this.
Area = 1/2(b* h)= 1/2 * (2pi) * r^2
ORRR, you can use polygons.
Any regular polygon, the area = 1/2 * perimeter * apothem.
For a circle that’s just 1/2 * C * r.
Orrrrr, if you like calculus, you can just integrate:
Area = integral of (2pi * r) from 0 to r
=1/2*(2pi) r^2
Pretty much no matter how you think of it, the actual area formula is 2pi/2

No pie yesterday, literally or euphemistically. Got a store bought one today that sucked. No steak or BJs yesterday either. It was not a happy pi day.
