Giants got the Harbaugh prize

Not to mention that Malik was injured last year as well - durability is definitely a question. Skattebo’s physical style does not bode well for longevity.

no, but they also seem to have some depth at RB, no one needs to carry the full load.
Nabor is an exceptional player, but yes, he does have to stay on the field

Hopefully Skat doesn’t get hurt at Wrestlemania.

Stefanski now interviewing for HC position. Not like his record has been that impressive, but that’s more a product of Cleveland being even more dysfunctional than the Giants. After trying and failing to hire assistants and hoping they figure things out, maybe it’s the best option to get someone who has actually done the work at the NFL level.

Of course their first choice should be Jim Harbaugh’s brother, but there are a lot of coaching vacancies out there and he’ll be everyone’s first choice.

Its time to bring Coughlin back.

Bill Parcells FTW

But are you going to let him shop for the groceries?

Sure if he wants to shop for me I’ll pay him. #UnitedParcellsService

Stefanski is a tough candidate. He’s had a better D although he’s an offense oriented coach. They were crippled with Watson acquisition which he was against. At same time, he didn’t help Mayfield excel although Mayfield seemed a little immature at that stage, but their relationship went downhill fast. The handling of the QB situation this year was odd. He seems like a bright guy that may not be a great top dawg. There has been too much dysfunction during his tenure. He may be more suited for the Jets.

If Giants can’t get Harbaugh, it may be interesting to go with a D oriented coach (since Giants are a D oriented team w good players there) like Minter and hire McDaniel to bring Dart along. It would be interesting if Giants hired Flores after the last process to hire Daboll prompted lawsuit. They should go D coach with strong OC.

Nice job getting Harbaugh. Not holding my breath that he’ll be able to replicate the success he had in Baltimore as long as Schoen is GM, but he should be a great guy for Dart at least….

I think he got a fair amount of personnel decision control in the contract so maybe he can steer Shoen in the right direction

My deepest condolences…

I honestly don’t know if it’s a good hire, but I won’t hold failing with the Bears against him. I mean Bears and failure have walked hand in hand for decades now.

Some of the best assistant coaches in the NFL have tried and failed to be head coaches. Just because someone is a great chief actuary doesn’t make them a good CEO.

I am more concerned about his last 3 years with the Chefs - their offense should have done better with Mahomes.

If there were 32 great head coaches in the NFL right now, 8 would still be fired this year for not being considered a decent head coach.

Every team can’t make the playoffs/win a playoff game each year

On Nagy as OC of Chiefs, You, could say the offense under achieved a bit the past 3 years but they won one SB and lost another but Mahomes has become much larger part of their cap allocation and that could impact the offense. I honestly don’t know what his duties were as OC as it seems Reid has had play calling duties. Maybe his job was to watch from the box and make suggestions to Reid.

Hey, we’re good now. No need to bring up ancient history

Ancient history like the 2024 season?

The Bears may be entering a golden age of football. But that would be new territory for them.

Yes, that’s what happens when you hire Eberflus as your HC. Bears have had a string of disastrous coaching hires since Lovie. Fox –> Trestman –> Nagy –> Flus
