Read one opinion that best thing for the Giants to do is to keep Dart in bubble wrap for the rest of the season and let Famous Jameis start for the remaining games. IMO that’s taking things a bit too far. If he’s cleared to play then let him play, within reason. Don’t keep him in if the team is getting their ass kicked.

I would def give jameis a couple games. if dart is cleared, tell him it is to work on a couple of specific things in his development, and the plan is to return him after the bye. easy peasy w a solid reason. (if he isn’t cleared then he likely sits til then anyway)

Giants move on from BoweN to BulleN. That’s one way to gut the defense.

The Giants have a couple of former defensive coordinators on their coaching staff, but interim head coach Mike Kafka didn’t tab either of them to run the defense after firing Shane Bowen on Monday.
Outside linebackers coach Charlie Bullen was the choice over defensive backs coach Marquand Manuel and defensive line coach Andre Patterson. Longtime NFL reporter Josina Anderson had the first report on the Giants’ decision.
The OLBs are the only functioning parts of this defense, so that’s the coach who deserves to get promoted regardless of previous DC experience. Not expecting much in a road game against the Pats next week but after the bye they have 4 winnable games (Washington, Minnesota, @Vegas and Dallas) - that will give Kafka a chance to prove that he is worthy of the head coaching job next year.
Or, hear me out: he is directed to lose the games – to get higher draft picks – or be fired.
