43 Years ago this week (11/22/78), radio station WKRP held a holiday promotion to give away turkeys by dropping live turkeys out of a helicopter, on the assumption they would naturally glide to the ground for fans to collect.
Sadly, “They hit the ground like bags of wet cement…”
I don’t pity the poor trapezoid, they’re in the shape they’re in because of their own choice.
I pity the poor man having to use a real dish rather than a paper plate.
I pity the poor man cutting his skimpy little thin sandwich before eating it.
My favorite chinese place closed a while back and they had a menu that was poorly translated. I remember one of the items was “marinated goose paw”.
The english menu was also not a translation of the chinese menu. It had different items. I learned that if I saw something on the next table that looked good I should ask about it.
