I believe it means The Original Series.

As in the first Star Trek series from the 1960s [not Deep Space Nine (DS9) or The Next Generation (TNG) etc]

I’m not a Trekkie myself but I briefly lived with one and picked up a few things.

One might note also that in TNG, there were no “external data-storage-objects” that were used. The implication being all data stored in something like “the Cloud” with auto-updates being performed. Something that really wasn’t mainstream until the 21st century.

I might have to get a Paramount+ subscription so I can watch the Voyager series and see how “data” is handled there.

I think I’ve shared this one before… our last boxer had a tremendous food drive, even by boxer standards. She would get food off the counter and once, my wife dropped a stick of butter. Before she could try picking it up, the dog inhaled the whole thing.
