I don’t see the drop in the graphic for the dry month. Is this fake news?
I had a professor who actually knew Ronald Graham personally . . . and he confirmed this story as being actually true (my professor learned about this process something like a few years after it happened).
But I don’t think that the #Publications is what Erdős was referring to by setting mathematics back by a month. He wasn’t at all concerned with publications (in fact, nearly all of his publications were done with at least one co-author). He was far more interested in getting other people involved and interested in mathematics.
