and #6 is 0. There were 8 apples when the question started and 8 when it ended, there were no more apples

Really, you’re holding out on me, how many more apples you got, huh?

Most ponds I’ve seen–outside of the city–have an inlet and outlet stream feeding it.

Then again, I grew up in the uber-Po’.

 And you’re not supposed to open more than one door per day!

how do you know he isn’t on the 2nd day?

Because he’s chewing, I think, and hasn’t yet eaten the second door’s resident

maybe it is a family

 yeah that’s fair

Didn’t catch Jay and SB in the background at 1st. Thought this was from Good Will Hunting.

actually that was what I intended, but I liked this one better

I always thought of a pond as a big puddle. Somewhere that rainwater collected in a large area, and the only outflow was minimal, to its surround banks. Lakes however had outflow(s) that goes to creeks, rivulets, rivers, etc.

Note that beavers will build their dwelling in a pond, not lakes. And they rely on there being both an inlet and outlet for their home.

the beaver sounds wet

moist

Dewdrop!

Totally forgot about that sobriquet!
