I’m not sure if it’s funny because it’s spelled wrong or if I’m missing something.
Obligatory
A few presidents used that pronunciation. Per wiki, Eisenhower, Carter, Clinton, and W all said nucular.
I found it funny both for the spelling and because perhaps nuclear power was more popular when some famous people said nucular.
Really? Eisenhower died before I was born and I don’t remember Carter’s presidency, but I don’t recall Bill Clinton mispronouncing nuclear.
I wonder if it’s a southern thing. Or maybe a hick thing?
W - Midland, Texas
Clinton - Hot Springs, Arkansas
Carter - Plains, Georgia
Ike - Abilene, Kansas
Did LBJ say it right?
I grew up in the South. People in my area didn’t ever say nucular.
Big city or rural? I’m not sure Atlanta or Miami counts for this purpose.
Waaaaaaaay back when generic food came in a white box, my mom had to do this for the sake of my sister who only wanted Rice Krispies and not Crispy Rice.
I may not care about chick peas, but most finished products like pop and cereal I can taste the difference.
InstantPot steam diverters. I almost put this in the things I’m going to buy thread. But I’m not going to buy one. But I did find it funny.
