My brotherâs FIL was a veterinarian before he became an ER doctor.
I was out for a drive today and saw the following 2 signs on the same sign post, both pointing in the same direction:
Maidens Lane
Bulky Waste
Saw a TED talk recently where the speaker, a cardiologist I think, started with: "What do you call a veterinarian who only works on one species?
An MD."

Thatâs a lot of school.
There are âemergency roomsâ for pets.
Yeah, but he said âER Doctorâ, not âER Vetâ.
Veterinarians are a specialized doctor. (DVM = Doctor of Veterinary Medicine).
Not all that different from calling your dentist âDoctor,â even if they donât have an MD.
Iâve heard of people going to med school because they couldnât get into vet school.
