long ago on the AO i would argue we should be willing to hire any sort of semi-housebroken animal w excel skills and a couple of exams. degree not needed. but…we keep the screens in place for the HR team I suppose.
I had 0 Excel skills when I was hired… and was the resident Excel expert within a year.

Ditto. It took about 3 weeks to learn everything there is in Excel.
Followed by 20 years of suffering from everyone else’s formulas.

I read that whole thing waiting for a fight to break out over Excel changing data types without asking.
Yeah, that’s the main thing I expect, but I force those fields to text now anyway
I have noticed a disturbing trend among some of the work groups I share data with that they use the .csv extension but use tab or pipe delimiters.
