i got a HUGE text file of data from a client. I asked about field names/abbreviations. mentioned that “when we imported to excel it was…” and the client guy said “wait? you are using EXCEL for this?”

hey man, the broking team uses whatever is easy. i’d prefer that the client harvest the 2 fields I need from the data and share just that with me.

500K? 700K? something like that. also had 156 columns or so

i needed two fields - member ID and PAID amount. i think I got the raw pull for everything they get and, well, I don’t need that. (and clearly don’t know what to do with it)

I imagine it won’t too long in excel and for only two columns not really worth the hassle of putting into a database, unless you plan to use any of the other columns later. If there are no column headers it will make it exciting.
