Ugh, I’d really hoped to take today off. But revenue meetings kept getting pushed back, so I’m here until 2:30.

I have one interview (we are hiring, I’m not interviewing for a new job) standing between me and the weekend. That and one thing that’ll take five minutes and I’m on weekend time, haven’t really GAF today.

Christmas cannot get here quickly enough, we’ve had somewhat of a re-org and now I spend half of my life on updating monthly revenue numbers. I think it’s time for a new job, this is some boring shit. I’m just going through the motions, updating slides, updating models, this is not meaningful work, imo.

Attendance is lower than normal today anyway being the last day before winter break, and vast majority of my kids handed in their Geometry mini project for the week already. So they earned some reward time.

It’s 4:00, for the 82nd time my manager is causing a meeting to run long. Not respecting people’s time is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. I should do one more thing today but I’ve already told people deadlines are slipping, so Monday it is. If we can just wrap this up I’m going to run for the exit.

Was supposed to be off today, but trying to get a deal done, so have had lots of last minute meetings thrown on the calendar recently. Got one scheduled for 3, called in, other party needed more time, decided to regroup at 4:30, didn’t log off until after 5. The deal still isn’t done.
Nothing is THAT important. Sorry, but it isn’t. People have time off and travel plans this time of year. Maybe that mindset will keep me from the next level, but that’s fine. I want to spend time with my family over the holidays, not lawyers.
