Taking Friday off and today is grindingly slow, sorting emails and other admin tasks.
Taking the afternoon off too, I’ve decided.

Some light actuarializing today. Should be wrapped up by mid-afternoon, then it’s Canada Day on Monday!!!

Went to Baltimore over the weekend, SOa meetings, travel, dealing with the HVAC company and spending an hour or three every day fiddling with the system to keep it from failing. I’m pretty much out of gas in the tank.

Stupid Fridays get busy for me and I hate to turn down business. But I might shut down all the advertising shortly and walk. I’ve got two fishing trips this weekend, a boat that needs to be cleaned, gardens to weed, and some honey do list stuff around the house.

It’s a half week with the early release on Wednesday, and most of my recurring meetings today were canceled because of too many people being out of the office. I am having a very hard time getting motivated.

It’s gonna be a long day. I’m out for a few weeks starting Tuesday, so I’m in today. Only one on my team.
Had a couple easy objections so did those first thing this am. One email that required input from others, many of whom are out of the office, and SOMEWHERE I have a list of stuff to accomplish. Already scheduled some meetings for Monday and for after my return to office.
I can do my fraud training. And I can work on my calendar for next month I suppose.

Was planning on going in today to help a few students. Last minute on Wednesday we find out our whole building is closed Friday, so students can’t even come in to see us. So I’m going for a bike ride before it gets too hot, then I’ll be on zoom for a couple hours later.
Got a headache. I see a nap in my very near future.

I’m pretty much done. I’d gotten an ingrown toenail, first time in like 20 years, and the first time I had to see a physician for one. I was really anxious all day thinking it was going to suck, but he gave me some injectable anesthetic, could barely feel the shots and after that I couldn’t feel a thing and it was over in about five minutes. He didn’t find any infection, said I should be good to go in 3-4 days. I feel a ton better, but also still feel like I might need a few pints with dinner tonight.
