For me, this time of year should be dead, but of course, it’s busy as hell. I’m thinking if I should take a break at 2:45 or keep working. Because I’ve got work from 6-8pm tonite. And…should be dead.
This does not bode well for Fridays in about 4 weeks when my busy time starts.
Well, I worked most of Monday, presented the forecast Tuesday, made some updates based on feedback. I think I’m ready to approve the models and push them out pending one final decision from the CEO.
The heat has finally subsided, I think I’m going to take the bicycle out for happy hour around 2:00.
I was supposed to be on PTO all week but then decided to work Thursday and Friday to catch up on some stuff (and prepare for an SOA webinar I’m participating in Monday - please don’t join if you’re aware of it lol).
Worked most of Labor Day, but we are now close enough to the board meeting I’m not getting any more questions. Nothing is urgent, screw it, I’m having a burger and a beer for lunch.
taking four students fishing tomorrow. I have to get the boat out of storage, get fishing rods ready, go shopping for supplies and prep lunch for 5 people. And it’s 4:30 here. And I still have two more proposals to build and send. And I should cut the lawn tonite lol. busy busy busy.
Our board has the quarterly meeting today, this is probably the worst one for me because we have to turn over a TON of projections for them. Yesterday I was fielding the last-minute questions, today there may be a few trickle in but my last call ends at 2:00 and then I think I’m calling it.
Looks like the rain may subside around 3:00, if it does then I think I’ll take the bike out for a happy hour or something. Might hit the antique mall!
CoPilot (idiot version of “think deeper”) clearly DNGAF today. I am not a Powershell coder, but when I ask you directly to correct the .Net error you created, you tell me, oh yeah put [string]: in front of what I previously said, and you can’t do it despite being told “hey you said to do this, please do it” at least three different ways. You are clearly trying to get to the end of the day without having me fix anything. Gah!@
ETA Holy crap it was a function of the code display in copilot hiding the thing it was trying to show me. Not smart.
Answered a lot of questions this morning. I have to review some models for October revenue, will take me a couple of hours after lunch but I may be able to punch out just a little early. The weather is pretty fantastic so maybe a little outdoor happy hour!
I’m so tired, dealing with bed bugs and insurance companies all week has been really taxing. Plus, you know, work and doing dishes, that never stops. My internet went down for about 20 minutes this morning, I’m just over everything at this point. My last call ends at noon, I don’t know if I have any Fs left to give after that.
