curious - did they include Salt as an Herb or Spice?

They didn’t differentiate between Herbs & spices (all on the same row). And they didn’t use Salt for “S”.

misinterpreted the question, but answered it all the same

I see now - definitely read your question as if you were asking if it was included as one or the other, not if it was included at all. My bad!

Summary

Weapons- Flamethrower, Axe, Nunchucks, Sword
Herbs and Spices - Fennel, Alfalfa, Nutmeg, Salt
Things at a picnic - Family, Apples, Nutella, Sandwiches
Things you polish- Fingernails, Apple, Nickel, Silverware

N was the hardest letter

Weapons - 4 matches
Herbs & Spices - 2 matches
Things at a picnic - 1 match
Things you polish - 1 match

Looks like I have good taste in weaponry

lol, definitely

I used to play a pass the time game, you write the alphabet in one column and someone reads a sentence, writing the first 26 letters in the 2nd column. You then need to come up with as many celebrities as you could whose initials matched each of the 26 in the two columns.

N was always surprisingly hard, given the assumed popularity of the letter.

and I was asking about Salt, because I don’t believe it is considered a Spice or Herb

Here are the official answers for 3/12

F A N S

3. SYNOD + ROMEO
4. DISROBE + MY
5. MOIST + RIVAL
6. PAINT + HERON

3/14/2021 - DONATIONS
Three people donate a total of $5,000 to a cause. Jim donated 50% more than Karl, and Larissa donated three times the combined total of the donations made by Jim and Karl. How much of the $5,000 did Jim contribute?

3/13

Summary
  1. Triplicate
  2. Eternity
  3. Syndrome
  4. Disobey
  5. Mistrial
  6. Pantheon

#1 was the hardest

3/14

Summary

x + 1.5x + 3*(1+1.5)x = 5000
x=500
Jim = 1.5 * 500 = 750

Correct on both puzzles! On 3/13 I should have just skipped that first word instead of getting stuck on it.

3/13 seemed the easiest of all the puzzles so far to me.

3/15/2021 - GIVE YOUR DOG A BONE
Use all the words below to form a chain in which each word links to the next to create a common phrase or compound word. The chain starts with DOG at the top and links to POUND to make DOG POUND. Then POUND links to another word and so on, until the chain ends with BONE. Can you join it all together?

DOG
CAKE OPEN DREAM
PIPE STRIP WORLD POUND STEAK
WIDE PAN AIR
BONE
