My employer-provided health insurance (in theory) reimburses for medical expenses incurred outside the US. (I took a look at that after my health scare during the pandemic, when I was preparing to resume cross-border work travel.)
A good travel insurance policy is still useful for things like medevac coverage.
There are lots of providers for medical insurance coverage while in Canada and they are inexpensive. If there is any doubt about your employer’s out of country medical coverage taking one out is a small price to pay for peace of mind. All of them have emergency evacuation coverage.
