Yes, a few times - very few, and never successfully - I tried for the reverse using paper. But even back when I was trying for the reverse, if unsure of all four connections I think I would have started with ones I was sure of to confirm I was on the right track. I think I only tried two or three times. In each, I knew all four connections with rationale for all four, but didn’t get the reverse since I guessed colors wrong.
