Didn’t get blue. I also didn’t associate green with food necessarily. I got that with an y on the end they had the same meaning. But who eats sap??? I guess you make syrup out of it but :woman_shrugging:

All me. Thought I was going to have to ask wife for blue connection before reveal. Then, while walking the iPad to her, I figured it out. Surprisingly, she didn’t get it. (I had spent much more time considering it than she took, but then I felt :duh: about my performance and expected her to do better.)

Lots of saps out there who will eat sap. Took me a couple guesses to get green since I thought it was a recipe for something. Never used “corn” to express sentimentality. My jokes are corny but hardly sentimental. Got blue on reveal.

Maple Syrup (The real stuff from a maple tree not the corn syrup stuff with caramel coloring added) is merely boiled down tree sap. I was onto it when I was looking for comfort foods, and I knew what schmaltz was.

You could get the greens without categorizing them as food items. The sentimentality part alone is sufficient.
