considered generic meaning of jeopardy briefly (didnā€™t conn with Dutch. but recognize that phrase once you mention)), then one word game shows, then single/double/final, so double dutch made the conn. There are probably a bazillion female shoe terms i donā€™t know, but it has been a conn a few times.

I didnā€™t know Cuban or kitten were shoe words, but i was pretty certain thatā€™s what stiletto and wedge were, and those seemed like the mostly likely shoe words. I didnā€™t see purple until the reveal, and Iā€™m not really familiar with double jeopardy (is that from the show? A legal term? It sounds vaguely familiar) or double Dutch.

All the groupings by me before consulting spouse. Including dumb miss on the yellows, and blue only by process of elimination. Spouse knew blue rationale immediately. I had seen that connection for Stiletto and Wedge from the beginning, but didnā€™t know that the other two fit it.

Yes, in the game Double Jeopardy is the second half, when all point values are doubled (and there are two daily doubles instead of one, where contestant can bet up to all of his current winnings on the question)(or bet up to $2000 in Double Jeopardy, if he has less than $2000)(I think itā€™s $2000)

And in the legal situation, canā€™t be tried twice for the same crime IF ACQUITTED in the first trial. Or, as Trumpā€™s attorneys are claiming, so far without success, if not convicted by the senate in an impeachment trial. But perhaps I shouldnā€™t mention that, since that is not part of the legal principal. IANAL

Got the green first, then jumped the gun on DUTCH cheese, then saw the purple connection . before going back to yellow. Got blue on reveal for the same reason as other posters pointed out. I would have loved to have seen DUMBASS in the purple.

Double Jeopardy is also a great movie based on the legal concept. Guy fakes his death, frames his wife who gets convicted and serves time. She gets out and finds him. She is told she can legally kill him in broad daylight bc she canā€™t be convicted again.
