Agree with the proper spelling of the app Grindr being the trick. I missed that detail at first, and was unfamiliar with hinge. I did briefly consider Adam Ant, but got distracted on the dating apps and impatiently wanted answers on that before filling out the rest. For Adam Driver, you could also ask Tiffany, IIRC

when I started grouping, the only one with no cross over was the Adams. Have seen nearly all of Adam Drivers movies and with Ant it led to West and Scott. I am avid golfer and watched a ton of Batman back in the day. Had no idea on dating apps.

I thought Adam Ant was the obscure one, he was a little bit before my time but I didn’t think he was terribly well-known. I’ve never actually seen any of Adam Driver’s movies, fwiw.

I thought this was a fairly hard one. I thought yellow was obvious. I’d never heard of Near Dark, but it seemed the likely choice for the 4th blue. I hadn’t heard of 2 of the dating apps, but the green ones seemed the likely choice. I had no idea what the purples were until after I saw the answer. And I didn’t know who Adam Scott was until I looked him up. I’ve seen him in quite a lot of stuff.

You couldn’t avoid Adam Ant in the early MTV days. He was definitely 80s popular.

Tried this for the first time and it was definitely hard. I failed.

My thought process-

I tried Grinder for the dating apps at first, not knowing Hinge was one, but after my incorrect guess I knew Grinder was the odd one out due to the spelling.
I could tell West/Scott were names, Adam West from Batman was my first thought there which brought in Adam Driver. Never heard of Adam Ant.
So then I figured Hoagie/Sub/Grinder all had to fit together but didn’t know the fourth. Never heard of them being called Hero.

So I had Hinge, Ant, Hero, Blade, Lost Boys, Near Dark, and Twilight left. I’ve never seen any of those four movies, so making that connection wasn’t going to happen. I tried Adam Hero, to no avail for my second strike. Adam Hinge for my third strike. Then got Adam Ant. Got the sandwiches with Hero. Realized Twilight and Blade were movie names, so might be that connection. Then I had to decide whether Hinge, Lost Boys, or Near Dark was the fourth dating app. I incorrectly chose Near Dark.
