Chowder enlightement

I also like some finely chopped onions. Is it heresy? Maybe. Don’t care.

Acceptable hot dog toppings, according to BG: (in no particular order of preference)

Spicy brown mustard (Sabrett’s, FTW) (yellow mustard only in a dire situation)
Sabrett’s pushcart style onions in sauce (see below)
Sauerkraut
Bean-less chili

That’s it.

[EDIT–raw onions on top of the chili is acceptable, too]

Love it, though always considered it Nathan’s style

isn’t that redundant?

can’t see how Relish isn’t on the list

How so?

'cuz it’s gross. That’s why.

Just sweet relish is gross. Dill relish is great.

Wait. Just holup a second.
People put tomatoes in clam chowder?

It’s really a different dish with the same name. Like chili with beans and chili without beans…

Which relish is the unnatural, toxic-sludge-ish, neon green relish? Because that’s the kind that goes on Chicago style.

You’ve never seen Manhattan clam chowder?

not exactly clam, but you get the idea

I’ve only ever had the cream-based version, and mostly from a can. I’ve known about the Manhattan style but haven’t tried it before, but would like to (not from a can).

i thought it also had cream poured into the center? something like that.

I like them all. prefer new england or RI.
