Chad and Lori Vallow Daybell saga

I thought there was another mention about the Chad Daybell/Lori Vallow (Doomsday Cult murders) but can’t find it.

Chad was convicted of and sentenced to death last week for killing his wife and the 2 children of his girlfriend/wife back in 2019. Lori was previously convicted and sentenced to Life w/o parole.

My wife and I watched a documentary and 48 hours episode about this and I didn’t realized the timeline of all of these events.

July 2019, Lori Vallow’s brother kills her estranged (possibly ex-husband, he had filed for divorce). It is initially ruled self-defense but was changed to homicide and she is being charged with conspiricy.
Late August 2019 she moves her family from AZ to ID when Chad Daybell lives.
Sept 9, 2019, last day anyone sees Tylee Ryan, Lori’s daughter, alive.
Sept. 23, 2019, last day anyone sees JJ Vallow, Lori’s adopted son alive.
Oct. 19, 2019 Tammy Daybell, Chad’s wife dies. She is buried 3 days later with no autopsy.
Nov 5, 2019 Chad and Lori are married.
Nov 26, 2019 Police conduct a welfare check for JJ but are unable to find him.
Nov 27, 2019 Police return with a search warrent but Chad and Lori are gone.

I didn’t realize the kids were killed prior to Tammy Daybell or just how quickly all of this happened.

I watched a dateline or 20/20 on this, and I’ve followed the case in the past, but not recently.

Any indication why he got the death penalty and she didn’t? She seemed to be just as heinous in the participation of the crime as he was. Probably she was willing to help convict him?

I didn’t follow the trial closely but I don’t remember anything about her cooperation. Since they are married, I don’t think she could be compelled to testify against her and I don’t believe he testified against her. They were initially going to be tried together. I’m not sure if that would have made it more or less likely they both get the DP or neither get the DP.

I would guess it was a male/female thing. She probably seemed more sympathetic?

Fry them both. Or bury them up to their necks and set insects on them. Whatever. Good riddance to both of them, the sooner the better.

Unfortunately, chances are decent that Lori gets out of prison before Chad gets executed.
