I wonder if that’s why my asthma kicked up this week. I’m close enough that we’re in the residual effect area.
Meanwhile my sister-in-law said the sky today back in Western NY is brown, and that they’re in the Hazard area for air quality, which I guess is a first for them. 
The wildfire situation in central Canada seems worse than in the West so far. Surprising as BC has been very dry. But it can change quickly.
We just got an air quality alert for my area from 7:00 am to midnight for tomorrow. Got our new home air purifiers today, just in time!

Jersey milk?
Jerseys get close to that but I expect it is actually a two-step process.
I used to operate a cream separator when I was a farm kid. It used centrifugal force to separate out the cream from the whole milk. I could see this cream being subsequently added sufficiently to lower fat milk or even whey to produce the higher fat content.
At least one of our leaders admits it when he was wrong.

Has gotten bad here very quickly. We are getting firefighting help from several jurisdictions but, sadly, none from the US despite past decades of Canadian and US firefighters working together in both countries.
"Environment Canada has issued an air quality warning due to wildfire smoke for much of the province, including the Okanagan, Cariboo, Boundary and Fraser Canyon.
As of Sunday morning, there are more than 140 wildfires moving through the province, with 60 burning out of control.
The wildfire service said personnel from the Yukon, Alberta and Mexico are expected to arrive in B.C. over the coming days and weeks to help fight the blazes."

We used to go a couple times a year on shopping trip weekends. No more. I’ve been twice in the past 5 years and once was just getting through the states to get on a boat.
A lot of Canadians I know are vocal about not going to the US. I’m surprised the numbers haven’t dropped more. some of it must be work/trade related.

I’d be interested in seeing how the numbers looked by half or quarter, the drop might be heavier as the year went on
Yes, many folks have no choice but to do the business trips. My eldest daughter has had at least six work trips to the US this year but has a total boycott on personal visits. If you took out the required business trips the numbers would be more dramatic.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if the provincial liquor store bans on US alcohol sales were removed. Not sure it would make much difference.
Well I’ll never drink US liquor again unless it’s against my will. My spouse on the other hand, is ordering wine from alberta, because she can get california wine there (but not in Ontario where we are). So a bit of a conflicted household here. I hope I don’t have to put my foot down.
My impression was that after a sharp drop-off, there has been a very, very slight rebound.
After a long weekend in Canada, I’ve returned to lands where the Glorious Leader holds control.
One of the things I learned this weekend: Canadian Fresca is different than American Fresca. The grapefruit taste and tartness is considerably more pronounced north of the border.
She can’t find something else she likes from the rest of the wine producing world?

I’m avoiding US products where I can. I break my rule buying cherries as its just so spotty what the stores here will provide and the season is limited.
I’m struggling on cream of tomato soup. I really like the Campbell’s. Aylmer and Tim Horton’s both taste burnt. I’m not a huge fan of Sprague. The instore stuff is okish.
I still want to go to SOAImpact in Pittsburgh in October.
