“Adopt a data mindset” / “making data-driven decisions” = “we paid someone mid-to-high 6 figures [or more] to tell us about data and how it can be used to make business decisions, even though actuaries do this every day and have been telling us what we should be doing with data to support their thinking - but we ignored all of that because it didn’t match what we felt was really going on, and if it’s just the actuaries then feelings are far more important than data.” ---
