BS! I see plenty of little Toyotas and Hondas so what’s the deal man
Just because they’re made in America doesn’t mean they’re made by an American automaker.
Both Toyota and Honda are foreign companies with an American presence which includes the manufacturing of their vehicles.
Distinction without a difference? Or does that question matter since most “American” cars are

Why do we need American made cars?
I am a hatchback fan, and particularly a sporty hatchback fan. Very few are available now in the US. I wish some of the models offered elsewhere in the world were available here.

If another company fills the niche perhaps they are able to do it at a higher margin than big 3. They could conceivably accept a (slightly) lower ROI. But this is all basic economics. You claim to value independent thinking but oftentimes ask questions without much follow-thru.
