Gothamchess is covering a chess tournament with Stockfish, Martin and 6 AI engines. The first one was posted today featuring Stockfish and Snapchat. Snapchat performed many illegal moves, but Levy let them be played. Fun watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZGs4g_hVco&ab_channel=GothamChess

There was an official less silly LLM chess tournament. It was neat to see all the improvement. I assume it’s partly the much better “reasoning” models, and in part being told the board state using strings. The best is still bad, but more like a novice than a baby.

I find it kind of interesting because I don’t know what they are doing really without the ability to “see” the board like a human can.

I embarrassed this bot. Then it got revenge.

But yes, Zuckerberg has been really really weird about wanting to add lots of bots to Facebook.

It at least needed Facebook involvement, or a big Facebook software hole.
This is a moderated group. An admin must approve an account for it to post there. No admin history that it was approved, but it has an entry (approval) date, two days before the moderator’s announcement that I posted above.
