I love the taste - it’s about the only bread in America that I can get where I can’t taste the added sugar (compared to Australian and European bread). Also, since my 40s, it’s the only bread I don’t have trouble digesting - perhaps due to me being treated with antibiotics when younger.

About 6 months ago, the outside dryer vent cracked. Last week it fell off.
Yesterday I heard a bird rooting around in there. I banged on the wall and he departed.
Today, the dryer kept cutting off. A little later I heard more scratching.
I take the thing apart and there’s about a 3/4 built nest in there.
MF’er! I cleaned out the duct and machine of twigs, bought a new vent cap, scaled the two floors+ on the ladder and replaced it.
I went to a nearby lab to get blood drawn: Holy fluff!!! The waiting room was packed and the monitor showed a wait time of 40 minutes!!! Fluff that!!
Gonna go again tomorrow morning and bring my laptop to mebbe do some CPD.

I think so. I get a loaf at the Farmer’s Market from some experts, garlic with/or rosemary. Takes me less than a minute to buy, which seems like a lot less time than making one at home and hoping it comes out like the expert’s.
They also sell a pretty good Crownie (brownie-shaped cookie, or cookie-flavored brownie).
After it had rained last night, it was nice and cool and I had the windows of the house opened for a nice breeze. Until a skunk came by the house and I had to quickly close them all.

Sigh. I’m really hammering down on redundancy and backups on everything we have here. Got all my servers and stuff all automated backups and archives and monitoring and sending me emails. Then I started on our internal fileserver in the basement here….and after a bunch of hours, looks like I’ve got hardware problems.
It’s QE and an issue came up with my product, so my CFO called an impromptu meeting at 2:30 with me and some of the finance and reporting folks.
I was free, but said I had to leave by 3 to make it to my son’s school to volunteer. Yeah, no problem, we will definitely be done by then!
I left at 3:20. No recognition of how late we were. Fortunately Mr. NA was also volunteering and was able to cover for me until I got there.

My ex delivered a loaf of sourdough to my house last weekend. The kids were at hy house, so I can assume it did not contain poison. It was terrible though.
I think her friend baked it. I have no idea why. It was perhaps good shortly out of the oven. I’ve made shitty bread before, and it was good right out of the oven, but terrible the next day.
The kids had a few pieces and the rest went into the trash after they left.
Well I’m at step 8 or something and it is NOT going well. what I have looks nothing like the pictures lol. The pictures show a nice round ball in the proofing basket. Mine looks like something the cat threw up and does not hold shape.
