Annoyed Thoughts

It might have been easier to do it this way instead of adjusting the price 6 times.

I don’t think the Domino’s guy has cut pizza before.

Is that a trapezoid or a parallelogram I see?

Did they burn the edge tooo?? :unamused: :man_facepalming:

I recently watched a soccer game on TV and was reading an online thread about the game. Somebody commented that they didn’t like the way the game was filmed. Somebody else commented that they don’t use film when broadcasting a sporting event, the correct term is shooting. Apparently it’s ok that shoot means both firing a gun and recording a sporting event, but film must only mean literally recording something to a photosensitive piece of plastic. Got it.

Not that skilled. I didn’t see that pizza whole so I don’t know how terrible the rest of it was cut. It wasn’t even cut all the way through, and that was the thin crust pizza. The regular crust pizza was also not cut all the way through but at least cut in a recognizable pattern.

early AM flight monday. sunday pm went to bed planning on 5.5 hrs of sleep. mix of GI stuff, dog waking, and then alarm clock anxiety and i ended up with 2-2.5 hrs. feel better now after some regular sleep last night.

My manager has decided that when she sends me an email, she also needs to send me a DM letting me know she sent the email. FFS, I already get 300 notifications per day.

Omg my spouse does this. Pushes a task into my calendar in our internal CRM and then follows up verbally to see if I’ve done it.

FFS that’s why we have that system. I have no idea if I did the task or not. Did u put it in the system? If you did, then either it’s still there and I haven’t done it, or I have done it and either closed it, pushed it back to you, or pushed it into the future. And I don’t remember any of those.

So no, I have no idea if I did the task or not.

It’s the only way I can get my daughter to read an email (or answer the phone). But yeah, it’s different at work.

Slightly annoyed at how much there is to learn about gardening. I planted a whole bunch of seedlings this year.
I think…think, but not sure, that I’m underwatering the tomatoe plants. The leaves are curling.
Turns out, I’m an idiot for starting pumpkins and cucumbers inside. Apparently doing so is a cross between futile, to ineffective.
And, apparently peat pots are not the way to go, they actually cause problems. I should’ve started them in red solo cups. Now I think I’ve got to transplant everything into solo cups.
None of this is just stick seeds in the ground, water once a week, and then eat stuff.

Getting a bunch of “company training / awareness” modules
Some are so familiar I can’t believe it has been a year,
literally I play at 1.5x speed and just answer the questions at the end

Though, I look it up and it has indeed been a year. Part of the reason I can’t reread a book

It started to rain hard as I was taking out the garbage and recycling this morning. Some critter knocked over my neighbour’s organics bin, so I went over to scoop up the mess and set the bin upright. :man_facepalming:

There is such a thing as people who are easy liars but get insulted when you say they are lying.

Annoyance 1: guy brought the wrong windshield even though I had to input VIN identifying exact model

Annoyance 2: even had he brought the right one, they couldn’t have installed it at home since automated cruise control needs recalibration. Needs to be done in their shop. Again, VIN should have told them this.

Annoyance 3: it will cost twice as much compared to quote. Recalibration is expensive.

Annoyance 4: they couldn’t find the required replacement glass in their system. Probably a special order item.

Thanks to a floor remodel that happened immediately before the decision to RTO, where RTO was not factored in to the needs, I have two people starting on my team in the next month and nowhere to put them.

One is an internal transfer who can stay at her previous cube for a couple weeks, but the other is an external hire and I refuse to have them starting their first day without an actual place to work, it’s super unprofessional. And I’m so ANGRY that all of this (RTO) was done with no regard for these kinds of problems.

It will get resolved, but man I’m just so annoyed.

The farm around the corner has spread the spring time manure. The smell is carrying for nearly a mile and is vile. I need the windows open due to the temperature, but the smell is quite awful.

6 months ago I made hotel reservations for May 2025.

The hotel just called me and told me they were cancelling the reservation due to overbooking by Expedia.

Expedia, who has no contact number or email, sent me a email message (from an email account that doesn’t accept replies) to tell me “Congratuations, you can now have a free cancellation on your reservation!” Reservations were originally made with a free cancellation policy.

I don’t want to cancel. I booked around an event that was sure to have filled all the local hotels. That’s why I booked so far in advance.

Now I’m flicked.
