went to play Immaculate Grid, not an everyday thing, was all stats, which I love, awful at who played for multiple teams.

ordered some stuff from Home depot 3 weeks ago. have received 3 different delivery date estimates but 0 deliveries. the only guy at the store who knows how to find anything out was absent today
making it worse is that I ordered this, not the wife. this order was in store, and I don’t get email or text updates like she has gotten from online orders. so not only do I get to chase the “lost in the ether” flooring, i also get scorn from the wife for the lack of email updates on the one order that I made (as if it was by my request).
this is why i tell people that i would maybe prefer to be murdered before commencing another project on the home. or just move before any project that requires a contractor for more than 1 days work

My daughter said there’s a book she wants for her birthday (a Spanish/English book, as she’s been working on it for her job), so I went right away to order it before I forgot. It was available new on thriftbooks and was cheap, but it was 6 cents short of free shipping. So I asked my wife if there’s a book she’s been wanting that I should add to the order. The order ended up being 4 books.

Ordered flooring at home depot feb 2nd.
Was to be delivered the 12th-14th. Didnt happen.
Was to be shipped from the manufacturer on the 21st. No evidence of that.
Ordered a backup and when it all went through theybsaid likely in 5-7 days. 0 confidence in that.
Will find out tomorrow if the original or backup are lilely making the timeline they currently have. At that point we may choose an alternate which (if it happens) will permanently create the disappointed narrative when the project is discussed. Aaaaaarrrrgggghhjjj

I just made myself a Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Rooibos tea. Even with milk and sugar, I don’t care much for the taste. 
We still do not have a functioning dryer. It’s been over a month. Someone, who shall not be named (but isn’t me), ordered the wrong part, which we didn’t realize until after waiting for the back ordered part to arrive.

Telus has been calling me at least weekly since before Christmas. I’m looking at switching to Bell in part to see what offer Telus will give me.

It’s annoying that individually sold sheets are way more expensive. We have a queen bed but buy king sheets to resolve sheet hogging issues and have to tuck the excess fitted sheet under the mattress.
Not last night, but the week before, took my kids to dinner at a Thai restaurant. We decided to try the spicy steak salad as an appetizer.
I did not like the flavor of the sauce. Kids asked why. I declined to say in the moment, because I couldn’t quite put my finger on why it didn’t taste good. It had a smell that was quite disturbing, I couldn’t place it.
After a few minutes of thinking, I finally got it. It tasted like child’s curdled milk vomit smells when they’ve thrown up at 2:17 am and called out for help with a desperate moan, awakening you from a peaceful dream and throwing you into a whirlwind of cleaning up both child and bed while avoiding spilling chunks onto the carpet.

I have a piece of basil stuck in my teeth. I don’t mind basil as a complement to something else but don’t like its flavor standalone, so ick.

I’ve an easier way to resolve this. When I go to bed everynight, I pull the sheets from my side of the bed until I’m just covered, and my spouse has all the excess. Seems to have fixed any problems.
Two sets of twin sheets on top a king works for us.
