Go fish

Can’t, because gubmint.

Too bad - how about poker?

Can’t, because gubmint and I have the worst luck at gambling!!! :money_with_wings: :money_with_wings: :money_with_wings:

I barely know her! :rimshot:

Also, gubmint.

I prefer gummint. I prefer Doublemint Gum even more.

“Double your pleasure” vs “No fishing”?

No contest!

It seems to me like clothing ought to be considered essential. Especially children’s clothing. Kids grow, even during a pandemic.

And buying stuff to do like puzzles and games and a TV and gaming console and home improvement ought to be essential.

Ovens and refrigerators and coffee makes malfunction and require replacement during pandemics.

I have a bunch of friends in Ontario, and their local Walmart even classified masks as non-essential and blocked them off. Bit of insanity going on up there right now.

Ironically, that’s a tiny bit of (unintentional, I’m sure) sanity.

It’s a losing proposition being a politician some days.
In the last lockdown, only stores that sold groceries were allowed to be open for in person shopping. Which was Walmart and Costco of course. But then Costco and Walmart were selling jeans or what have you, and small businesses that sold jeans were not allowed to be open. The small businesses complained, so this lockdown you can sell groceries, but not anything else. Keeps a level playing field.

How’d that last lockdown work out?

Isn’t there a word for trying the same thing and expecting a different result?

That’s the wrong solution.
The right solution is to let the small businesses sell jeans too.

Clothes are almost as essential as groceries.

Last lockdown reduced cases, so pretty good.

The shit is hitting the fan here right now because we dont have enough vaccinations and the variants are running rampant. Some icu’s are full and they’re shuttling cases to other hospitals. They had to do something drastic.

Yeah, the variants are hitting Canada hard. They are reaching frequencies as high as many US states, for the first time. I’ve been watching their numbers somewhat anxiously, as i have friends there.

I had to handwash a little dish that the dishwasher didn’t wash so well.

WPP

It’s not “pump the breaks”, it’s “pump the brakes”. Seen in a professional webinar. Blah.

Also, I feel like maybe I need a get off my lawn emoji, is there one of those?
