Annoyed Thoughts: archive 1

Yes. And my bil might do it. But honestly, i trust the electricians more, and I’m hoping i can get an exemption for the workshop through legal channels.

And just an alarm for the fridge and freezer. Those shouldn’t be tripping the breaker on their own. I can live with flakey circuit breakers for them, so long as i know to do something.

Just get an ‘everything is ok’ alarm, and wait for it to stop beeping, and then you’ll know there’s a problem.

There are two left-turn lanes, turning into two lanes. Easy. But everyone on the left lane decides they really wanted to be on the right and switches lanes mid-turn. OK, I guess maybe they discovered mid-turn that they need to be in the right lane to turn in somewhere right away. No, they’re not turning right at all and had no reason to switch to the right lane.

I used to experience this in Colorado. There was a lot of traffic, and there was one light like this where loads of people needed to turn left, and then make the next right turn into a big office park. So if you were in the rightmost left turn lane, you could wait through several cycles of the stoplights. So, folks would get into the left turn lane and then be assholes about getting into the right lane after the turn.

At the time I drove a Mazdaspeed3, and any time some jerk pulled up beside me in the leftmost turn lane, I’d just pace them. They always tried to get the jump but I was quicker. Then they’d slow down and I’d slow down with them, really make them earn it. Yes, there were times when I’d make them miss the turn and have to take the long way. Good times.

Don’t know the full situation but might have been better to have a single left turn lane and after turning drivers choose which of the two lanes they want to be in.

My primary credit card was hacked. Thankfully just one transaction, which was flagged and declined - they tried a $6,000 theft, oof.

This will cost me a few Chase rewards points, sigh.

I like you. you’re good people.

I’m pretty sure Chase transfers existing reward points to the new card. It’s been a while since I had to cancel one and get a new card number so I could be wrong. Knock on wood that remains the case.

I’m not worried about that, just that I’ll have to use a different card for a week until the new card arrives, so I won’t get any new points for a week. Which is probably like $3 worth of points.

They’d better transfer my old points, I’m at 145k or so!

Yeah, someone hacked my Delta AmEx and they canceled the card and now I need to buy a Delta ticket. New card is at home in the UPS envelope still.

Flew to Aberdeen today on Easyjet as British Airways cancelled a flight.

Totally knackered as we arrived quite late (close to midnight).

But have to say that BA is now at the same level as Easyjet (service wise).

My gf brought me a homemade butter tart from an afternoon party. It was chockful of dirty, nasty, vile, radioactive, carcinogenic rai-SINS!!! I picked out at least 7 of the dirty little beggars!!! :radioactive: :biohazard:

Have you and your gf been dating for like… under 45 minutes? Because I feel like that’s very basic information about you.

Or did she simply not realize the contents of the tart? Which is more understandable on gf’s part but I was envisioning an open tart.

I need more data to properly understand the situation.

I have swept the same section of kitchen floor like 5 times yet… there is still some spilled sugar there. Apparently I suck at sweeping. The house cleaners don’t come for another 12 days, so I need to get this right or I’ll have ants. :grimacing:

Somebody else made them and brought them to the party. Obviously, this person has been brainwashed by the “nature’s candy” nonsense. :unamused:

Maybe she heard about Bro’s offer and is trying to divert you.

But did she know they contained raiSINS?

Yup, and she warned me.

That’s why I performed major surgery on it to purge it of the eeeeeeeeevil!!!

Ah, ok. That was the piece I was missing.
