As the only coffee drinker in my household, the aeropress is perfect for me. It makes a great cup of coffee, is cheap, easy, and takes up minimal space.
We just do a $30 Mr. Coffee brand machine, 1 big pot for a day and the following day is “sad brew” which is reheated day-old coffee, unless somebody really wants to make a new pot. Rinse out, repeat.

My wife likes the 7-11 breakfast blend of coffee. The large is $2.34. Once or twice a month I get a free one with my rewards points.
We aren’t rich, but can afford $2/day for something she enjoys.

Playing fetch in the dark would be easier if the dog liked the glow-in-the-dark Chuckit ball.
I have a wretched stomach ache. The kind that will keep me up all night and keep our single bathroom occupied.
I used to get these every time I ate, thanks to a defective gallbladder’s kidnapping. Then after about five years, that finally stopped. I don’t know how I survived, it’s so miserable.
How can a human body produce so much pain and not be dying?! Ugh.

I view bringing my spouse coffee while they’re in bed every morning as a very tiny tradeoff for everything they do. Worth it.
Why not make half a pot every day and have fresh coffee every day?

You’re talking to someone who only drinks iced coffee, which takes 48 hours to brew and keeps for at least a week. (One batch is 4.5 days’ worth so I’ve never had it sit for more than a week, even accounting for days I go out for coffee. I’ve never noticed a difference between day 1 and day 7.)
So maybe it IS that much work?!?!

The laundry machine started rattling just now, so I go downstairs to make sure the clothes aren’t misbalanced. I trudge downstairs and get to within 2 steps - and then the noise stops.
