She’ll do those last two if we’re playing fetch outside. It’s funny to see her pass her inside water to go outside to drink from the bowl outside. ---

My newest cat does the faucet thing, but only when I’m in the bathroom - and I can’t shut the door whether she is in or out because cat. I can literally hear her tear across the floor in realization that I’m heading to pee. ---

When I had cats, they were triggered by two sounds - hearing the bang of the clothes washer or dryer (perhaps the door or just bumping up against the hunk of stainless steel)…because their food was in that room & they always wanted more, and hearing me jingle the handles on my bedroom dresser…because that’s where the cat [brush](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000YIWUXI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) was that one of them absolutely loved. Since they were overweight & our house flooring was made out of the same material as a timpani drum I could literally hear the thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud as they scurried to my location. ---

We keep the good dog treats by the washer, so the dog will sit patiently by the washing machine when we’re doing laundry and have to shoo her out to shut the door if she doesn’t get a treat. ---

But they had two heavy cats, and I heard the cats going kathump-kathump-kathump across my ceiling all the time. ---

This is definitely a thing in our house. I clean when I’m upset, my kids clean when they’re upset. I am 98% positive that my spouse has deliberately provoked each and every person in our house, in order to get something cleaned (can’t predict what will be cleaned, but it will remove the person from the area, and some other area will get cleaned).
