There are several other Trump Administration officials that are trashing the Canadian military and anything else to do with Canada. It is childish behaviour and only fuels anti-Americanism here. US seems to forget that Canada has been a huge purchaser of US military goods: that is likely to change going forward despite Canada ramping up its military spending. Blame this on US rhetoric.
Carney’s remarks, as usual, reflect my mood.
