A brain worm's vision for public health

An interesting observation (although one I haven’t verified beyond a quick skim of Google search result headlines):

Don’t pay any attention to the crazy old guy making noise across the pond…

Ding ding ding.

This is the reason for the whole thing. Its another grift.

Autism rates have kept increasing (10-20% every two years) which would seem to be alarming. However, the prevailing theory is that this is due to better methods of detection and less stigma associated with autism. Most telling is that severe autism (severe enough to need constant care), which is much easier to observe, has not risen significantly in the same time period.

Changes in the diagnostic criteria and increased screening at wellness visits seem to be the main contributors. There have been a few studies over the past two years that have looked at a specific subgroup of individuals on the spectrum who frequently need 24-hour-a-day support and care from a caregiver, often have very limited verbal communication skills, or have intellectual disability that co-occurs with autism.

The data has shown that rates of autism for that subgroup have increased minimally, if at all, over the past nearly 10 years.

Florida, so not RFK: Casey DeSantis, who is an actual cancer survivor who received appropriate medical treatment, is now touting a new investment initiative to consider using, among other things, ivermectin to treat cancer. Matt Gaetz, naturally, is trying to take advantage of the situation.

Ummmm…OK.

I’m all for de-normalizing infant circumcision, but, that’s such a weird take on why…

How about don’t circumcize infants because it’s unnecessary genital mutilation that was normalized to reduce masturbation?

I’m thinking RFK is going to use this to drop a take on Jews in 3, 2, 1,…

He will probably also have a side hustle selling his own brand of pain medication through TrumpRx.
Or maybe I’m thinking of Dr. Oz

i’ll take your word for it without looking it up myself. is said proposed reduction temporary (right after the procedure) or long term? i don’t imagine long term makes sense

I wouldn’t read this on a work computer, but: https://mavmatrix.uta.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1075&context=history_dissertations#:~:text=Page%204,In%20some%20cases

The section on the evils of masturbation starts on page 123 (133rd page of the pdf).
The discussion about circumcision starts on page 133 (143rd page of the pdf).

And yes, that is the Corn Flakes dude being quoted.

Is there an epidemic of that in the first few days of a baby boy’s life? That’s when it usually is done, isn’t it?

This is maybe TMI, but if you don’t want men to masturbate using their penises, one solution is to give everyone estrogen. Just saying.

I have first-hand knowledge that it does not reduce masturbation.
And second-hand-knowledge, too (please do NOT tell the first hand).

The corn flakes dude (J H Kellogg) was a wackadoo who thought bland food (like corn flakes) would also reduce masturbation. He was wrong about a lot of things.

I’d think most would be too young to be doing much masturbation in the first place.

Keep in mind that when this “solution” was pursued, the concern was with individuals being driven to poor physical, mental, and spiritual health due to their onanism.
