A Mayan pyramid. My historical knowledge is limited to that area.
The bible did “not really” write about Chichén Itzá.

Unofficial but could it be Ragnarök?
Would tie in with Thor’s hammer from prior game. Just a thought.

No water would rule out Ragnarok as I think the world gets flooded and reborn at the end of the big battle.
It would rule out a lot of floods, etc. Good question!
So, we have an old mythological event that wasn’t really mentioned in the bible, that involved lots of deaths and no water.
Note that I did a bit more research about the event and modified the answer to the last question to prevent undue misleading of the hoi polloi.
Hmmm…might put Ragnarok back in play.
Folks would we like to ask if it is related to Norse Mythology?
Or do we have a better way to narrow the field?
Official: Does the event involve more than 95% of the persons in the (known) World dying?
Maybe some time-period or geographic thing that would bucket Norse with other mythologies? You could ask if Neil Gaimon wrote about it.
FWIW, it makes sense that the bible “didn’t really” write about Ragnarok.
IFYP, but that would not narrow it down at all!

Note about the “Flooding” question: the source I worked primarily from is the Prose Edda, which doesn’t mention anything about “flooding” . . . but only that the “earth would rise again from the sea”. However, the wiki’s includes the phrasing of “flooding of the world” . . . hence the need I felt to make a clarification.
Hopefully, the other answers (especially “soft ones” and ones with clarifications) make sense.
^G33 here.
