I think you are right. Many of the answers are weird for any actual “object”. I was leaning towards something like “hurricanes”, but that would unambiguously be related to weather.
But you can see if with the naked eye. Maybe an earthquake? Which some argue can be man-made from fracking? Although that’s not related to weather… unless rain triggers them? And you can buy insurance for earthquakes.
