They are great. I have mine hanging with enough clearance that I won’t hit my head on them walking underneath. The garage ceilings should be over 10’ so I have a good 3.5’ of vertical storage across the 16x4 area.
Of course, everything up there is covered in sawdust right now…
I have an 8’ ceiling. My plan, and I might have to DIY it, is to make hanging shelves somewhere on the perimeter sized just right for the big plastic bins. The problem is I currently have metal shelves in much of the garage that would prevent this, so I need to strategize here.
We have similar, use it to store 8 winter/all-season tires when they’re in their off-seasons, and a couple of other totes. (We have essentially no basement storage - everything is either in the 2-car-occupied garage or under the staircase.)
We also recently put 18-24” shelving around most of the garage, which has been great.
