The logistics of getting who-knows-how-many fans there, though. With the NeckCAR, people arrive in their RVs a week in advance. Might be nice to have some minor league games going on. Maybe hold a Little League Regional or Sectional tourney there. One-and-done seems a huge waste, but I’m not in charge.

Well, maybe. They seem to be using only half of the raceway, though the big half of the stands. I assume there will be temporary stands along the third base side (from the video at mlb.com).
I mean, 1/4 of a half-mile (assuming “equal” amounts on straights and turns) is still 660 feet.

The White Sox radio broadcast of last night’s White Sox / Yankees game was humorous. They just kept saying over and over stuff like “I’m sure this was the last thing the Yankees expected from the White Sox”. What else can you say? It made it worth the win. Now get back on track.
The Yankees have had a number of gut punch losses, mostly surrounding Clay Holmes blown saves, but yesterday had to be the most embarrassing loss of the season so far. I think in the first 5 innings they stranded 10 or 11 runners, and in 4 innings of those they had 2 on no out or 2 on 1 out and managed to scrape out 2 runs. Then one of Cashman’s deadline moved gives up a snowman. Nice trade Cash. Did I mention that was just the Sox 2nd win since the ASB?
Also heard the other day - “they fired Grifol after a one game losing streak. That’s harsh.”
OK, so a Cub fan friend was bragging about how the Cubs swept the White Sox last week and I was about to say “Who hasn’t?” until it dawned on me I didn’t know. So I checked it out. Only 13 teams have swept at least one series with the White Sox so far. 12 have lost at least one game in each series against the White Sox and 4 have not yet had the opportunity to play. But if they do things right, they could still end up the season with having been swept in a series by 22 teams (some multiple times).
The current “who hasn’t” is ATL, CLE, TB, BOS, AZ, HOU, DET, COL, MIA, OAK, STL, WSH
DET swept the White Sox the first series of the season iirc. CLE has no excuse.
