2023 Fantasy Baseball

Good w anything

I’ve been wiped out by COVID for 2 weeks now, finally feeling human again. I’ll make any draft time work but later in March is better for me.

Whenever it happens, I’ll be sure to disappoint!

I miss the weeks-long draft on the AO.

I’m good for whenever.

Later it is… I’ll try and get the league set up and confirm we’ve still got everyone over the next week. Thinking 3/25

Quoting this from last February so we have the keeper rule.

I think my keepers are:

Player (2024 round) (2025 keeper)
Elly Dela Cruz 16->13
Brent Rooker FA?->12
Brenton Doyle FA?->11

I haven’t been able to find an easy way to confirm Rooker & Doyle were FAs and not drafted last year but I didn’t see either in the 2024 draft list so hope I got that right. And I don’t remember what if any picks I traded last year but I think they are tracked by Yahoo.

From Yahoo: the Final rosters from 2024 with their draft spot:

ETA: Rooker and Doyle (sounds like a couple of high school thugs) were not drafted last year.

My keepers:
Pablo Lopez: drafted 14th round->keep in the 11th
Anthony Santander: 15th->12th
Bryan Woo: 23rd->20th

Question for the group. Apparently at the end of last year I picked up some players (they must have been hurt) so they were on my roster at the end of the year according to the list on the link EC shared. Two of those are Acuna and Scherzer. They both have the draft position from last year (1st round and 22nd round) but I know it was not me who drafted them. What is the ruling on keeping those type of players? Since I picked them up is it 13th and 12th round? Or do we go off last year’s draft position by the original draftee, so it would be off limits and 19th round? I am not sure how this has been ruled in the past and I am fine with either outcome. I don’t even remember picking them up, but I just need to know so I can decide who to keep

I believe their 2024 draft position holds. So Acuna can’t be kept, but Scherzer could be in the 19th. But I’m not the commish…

If a player was drafted last year their “keeper” status follows where they were drafted despite later being dropped and picked up.

Correct. Draft position holds no matter how long they were FA. That goes back to the Drafty Mantooth days. Which I still believe I have laying around!

Ok draft date set for 3/24 at 9PM Eastern… let me know if we need to move that, I have flexibility but trying to avoid NCAA game times. Keepers due on 3/22 (not sure what time, so get them in by 3/21).

Draft picks that were traded last year will get fixed, I just don’t know when. The Keeper League functionality is meh.

Works for me! :+1:

Patty’s Pub is back

preliminary keepers
Julio Rodriguez 12 ->9
Jackson Merrill FA → 13
Paul Skenes 20 → 17

If one of those guys has a season ending injury in the next 2 weeks then replace with Wyatt Langford 18->15

Michael Harris II 10 → 7

I think I am keeping
Lawrence Butler FA → 13
Bryce Miller 17 → 14
Alec Bohm 18 → 15

My keepers:

Gunnar Henderson 10th → 7th
Jaren Duran 17th → 14th
