Those match start times are not too bad for East Coast folks but the added three hour time difference for us West Coasters is a bear for the first two matches each day. I don’t have the discipline to not check scores as soon as I wake up so will probably just check highlights from those early matches. ---

Well, it would be early in the morning, so it would be the first thing I do after waking, well, after brushing my teeth. I like a lot less the midday sporting events where I have to actively avoid phone, news, other people, etc., until I can find time to watch. Helps being a bit of a hermit, and not allowing websites to keep you posted on every little thing, like sports scores. ---

"England could end up in a group with Wales or Scotland, if one of them qualify, since they are in the top and bottom pots respectively and two European nations can be in one group. The Three Lions could end up in a group with Germany, Africa Cup of Nations champions Senegal and Ecuador - or a theoretically kinder draw could pit them against the USA, Iran and Ghana." Can’t wait for the acronym for that group that England fulfills with a struggle to finish 2nd. ---

Bold prediction: Qatar gets drawn into A1. “I hope nobody comes up from the crowd to slap any of these people in the face.” GDI, we’re nearly at draw time and I want to go get something to eat. Really wish they’d take their time with getting this done, instead of rushing it like they’re doing now. Maybe have 4 or 5 more people get up and make boring speeches no one cares about.
