It’s not you. I edited your post (as a quick way to troubleshoot).

One also needs a row of " |-|-| . . ." after the header row. I think this is the trigger for table creation.

That is, you can have the “|-|-| . . .” w/o an explicit row above it and you’ll get a table with no header row.

And I’m guessing that if there were more than 1 row above the “table trigger” that it would either bomb or take the row immediately above (and ignore the rest) as the header row.

This week…
TheArbitrary used a COFP to change his Jets pick to the Browns. Not only did that change go pear shaped, it also prevented him from winning this week & used up his last COFP. The importance of this will become clearer in a later post. :-1:

Upon further review…

If Jahiegel and TheArbitrary should happen to get first place in the weekly standings next week (and neither Vorian Atreides nor Ultimate Anyone? also tie for first place) then TheArbitrary will win the Week 17 and its award via tie breaker since he was entrant #3 and Jahiegel was #17.

Next week’s award is Last Week Winner. One of TheArbitrary’s picks would be automatically changed to a win. Whereas, Jahiegel’s would not since he would not win this award.

This would result in TheArbitrary and Jaheigel’s overall record being the same. Since TheArbitrary owns the tiebreaker, he would be declared the winner of 2020 Rainbows in the Endzone NFL Full Season Pick’em Contest-Tying Arbitrary Records now with GoActuary.

p.s. The rules committee has debated and argued over what would happen with the Week 17 award if the winner has a perfect week. There would be no Week 17 loss to overturn, and so there would be nothing to apply the award to. This is the most likely course of action this award would take if such an occurrence were to occur. So, that gives Jahiegel another out if he and TheArbitrary perform exceptionally well next week.

VA has six games & UA? has two games picked differently than J & TA, so it’s possible for VA OR UA? to have a weekly record identical to J & TA even though they have a vastly different slate of picks.

I feel as if, in some sense, already I’ve exceeded Cliff, actually–both because sillily I thought I had but one COFP left, and so did not make the obvious NE–>BUF play that, it turns out, would have saved the rules committee literally seconds of debate and because I managed to make my boneheaded move without even making it onto the show; the morning of my “Jeopardy!” audition last year, I found myself in dreadful pain–it turned out that a crown was slightly loose–and, not having time to get to the dentist, I took some (read: a lot of) painkillers and tranquilizers in an effort to dull and to distract myself from the pain, which led to my standing up there during the simulated game staring blankly at my buzzer and wondering why suddenly my hand seemed to have a cord attached to it. One need not be a keen quizzer, or indeed even conscious, to figure out that they’ve yet to put me on the show.

All of which is to say that there can be no doubt that I’ll be blowing this one, prolly with SF–>SEA, but maybe with DEN–>LVS or, given the Goff sitch, LAR–>ARI, too. I will be sure to let the intern know in due time exactly which calamitous course I’ll be taking.
