So… it’s an actual thing, not something like water or air. It’s not alive or man-made, so some natural object that can be found in a home or elsewhere. It doesn’t use water. Could it be made of water? Like ice or snow?

It can be lifted, isn’t made or wood, but isn’t typically placed on the floor.

It’s not decorative, not used with food or drink (so not an ice cube, I guess) not clothing (that would be man-made), not used in games.

It can be found in homes, but is more common elsewhere.

You don’t find snow in a house, and ice is excluded from that food/drink question

Could be something filled with air, like a balloon. Though I guess that would be decorative.

We know nothing about it’s size.

Is it larger in size than a typical textbook?

*This is the first question I that gave me pause

Not saying it’s important - but that’s not entirely what the question/answer combination implies.

I find snow in the house for a few minutes every time I walk indoors from shoveling the driveway, or walking through the snow. But he did say the question didn’t give him pause.

Something small that is technically solid, but maybe just barely. But not food nor used in grooming. (So not hair gel, or jello)

I wonder if it has non-solid components. Like a level contains liquid and air but is mostly solid. (was just hanging pictures yesterday)

Or some ice cream scoops are filled with liquid. Can’t be that because of the food question, I’m just trying to think what else might be iffy on calling it a solid.

A battery? Would that be considered to “use” electricity? (unofficial)

Hmmm

I would answer “yes” to that.

So maybe it more commonly exists in a home but you’d be more likely to find it somewhere else… like a store?

Something that you don’t see in a home but is there.

Unofficial: fire extinguisher maybe? While lots of people have fire extinguishers in their homes they’re usually tucked away out of view whereas in public buildings they’re more prominent.

Nah, most fire extinguishers are bigger than textbooks.

I’m back to batteries. I think I might have said they don’t use electricity (unless they’re rechargeable).

It’s -not- man-made.

:woman_facepalming:

A water pressure based battery!.. found naturally

Small non-man made item that’s not wood which can be found in the home and elsewhere and is sort of solid? Hmm

Gravel, but that’s used as “decoration” and also goes on the “floor”.

Stone fireplace? Pretty solid.

The fireplace is man made I guess, but the stones aren’t.
