20 Questions Game9

Is it made of fabric (such as cotton, linen, polyester, silk, etc.)?

Clarifying as I originally posted just “is it cloth”.

Yeah, so I think we can eliminate bath towel, hand towel, washcloth, bath mat on the basis of grooming.

Dish towel on the basis of not meant to go on the body.

But beach towel remains.

Also… what about sheets? I suppose if you consider laundering them to be not staying in one place they could fit too. Sleeping is not grooming.

Ooh, what about a napkin? Did we ask if it’s kept in the kitchen?

hmmmm

Once again after 19 questions we only have three “yes” answers which makes it nearly impossible.

Maybe a paper napkin??? Not official.

well this one might be more controversial. After this I’ll let someone else pick. maybe twig can take over.

I’ve got something in mind, FWIW. I can wait, though, if someone else wants to go.

My best guess is paper napkin. If you want to guess that (or something else) be my guest.

I would think paper napkin would be a yes for “applied to the skin”?

With many possible wrong answers, I’ll close it out with a bit of a flyer…

Official guess: Is it a cat?

Alive, intended to go on the body (perhaps), applied to the skin (wishy washy no but…). No wishy washiness on “is it a liquid” is suspicious!

Like I would use something that’s been used!

The answer is: (human) hair

Like I said, some of these were hard to answer.

Incidentally, hair is not alive once it grows out of your skin.

I think “applied” is a weird way to describe using a paper napkin to wipe your hands or face, which would give pause.

I would’ve stopped you if I could’ve from “cat” just because I figured it was too soon to reuse items. Oh well. We were nowhere near human hair, so I don’t think we would have come up with that regardless.

I had thought to myself that maybe it was something that is put on hair, but the grooming thing…

D’oh, I should have backread further apparently. I was perhaps distracted by the cat perched on top of me. Not her usual nighttime resting place.

Ha, and I might argue hair is primarily of artistic, non-practical value. But yeah, I think this would have needed to be 30 questions before we got close to hair!

I don’t think that’s true at all. It’s often used that way now, but it existed for millions of years before any of that.

I don’t see anything wrong with any of the answers. The “…” maybe shouldn’t have been there, but I can see why it was.

Good job!

No worries; as you said… we would’ve needed 30 questions.

Oh, and yes, if it had been “cat” then the liquid question should have been “yes” or at least given pause…

I’m burned out!

I choose twig to go next.
