20 Questions Game 21

Oops, yeah, I should have specified in person…

Anyway, that answer takes away clouds and christmas trees, so I’m back to a UFO…

But a UFO is not stationary, so I got nuttin.

Can it only be seen at certain times of day?

Could it be some sort of animal made structure? (unofficial) Like an Eagle’s nest would fit all the answers so far…

1 - (twig93) Is it alive? No
2 - (Lucy) Is it manmade? No
3 - (twig93) Is it unique? No
4 - (Mountainhawk) Is it bigger than a breadbox? Yes
5 - (Vorian_Atreides) Is it geological? No
6 - (A_Student) Is it stationary? Yes
7 - (Mountainhawk) Can it be held? No
8 - (A_Student) Is it likely that more than 25% of the US population has seen it in their lifetime? No
9 - (Mountainhawk) Can it only be seen at certain times of day? Yes

I’m thinking the northern lights or something like that

Is it something seen in the sky?

9 - (Mountainhawk) Can it only be seen at certain times of day? Yes
10 - (MayanActuary) Is it something seen in the sky? Yes

There are probably people who will be upset with some of these answers, but I think they are the most appropriate ways to answer the questions and that I can defend them…

Northern lights aren’t stationary, though.

I also had the thought that it could be the north star (Polaris)? But I’m sure that a large % of people in the US has seen it.

Is it a black hole?

It’s not unique, so it can’t be the north star

DING DING DING

For #6 the “relative to what” question was important. I figured “to an observer on Earth measuring against the background stars”.

For #9 and #10 - strictly speaking, it can’t be “seen” at all, but I figured “detected” was really what was being asked.

As a “star”, it’s not unique. As soy mentioned, some of the answers can depend on its interpretation.
:man_astronaut:

If I had been thinking of a specific, named star I would have said it was unique.

I suppose this means I have to set up the next one?

Your can beg off, and either appoint someone else or just leave it up for grabs.

I’ve got one going.

What a guess!
